I’ve been an athlete my entire life, (3-sport in high school and a college defensive end for DePauw University) but didn’t discover coaching until after a brief career as an English teacher. The rest is history.
I’ve been a full & part time strength (& recently nutrition) coach for the last 12 years. In my first year learning how to coach, a mentor once told me the 2 characteristics any good trainer must have are a BIG personality and a servant’s heart. I’ve come to discover I possess both and I’m blessed to redeem them every session I train, making my clients stronger, healthier (& hopefully) happier versions of themselves.
Through my Precision Nutrition studies (PN level 1&2 coach) I’ve learned how important small habits are in shaping our health. It’s not always about reading the latest self-help book or trying the newest diet craze. It’s about mastering small daily practices until they become second nature.
