Opening a Business

Opening a business in Des Peres requires the following:

1. Check with the Department of Public Works to ensure your site zoning allows your proposed use.
2. Once your storefront or office has been constructed, leased, or purchased you will need to obtain an Occupancy permit from the Department of Public Works.
3. After Public Works has issued your Occupancy permit, your business is eligible to apply for a Business License from the City Clerk's office.
