CO-REC WINTER YOUTH BASKETBALL LEAGUE

This is an 8-week instructional basketball program for boys and girls in kindergarten, first and second grade.  The basic fundamentals will be taught in a recreational environment; scores will not be kept.  Teams will share courts during practice time. Individual (Free Agent) and team registration will be taken.  Registering as a free agent does not guarantee placement on a team.  If enough Free Agents register then a team will be created from the Free Agent pool of players. Teams that are registering will have practices on either Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays or Sundays; exact times will be determined by coaches at a later date.  Practices start the week of January 7; games start January 13.  Volunteer coaches needed!  Coaches – your child registers for free!  If you would like to register a team, please contact Darryl at 314.835.6164 or dmiller@desperesmo.org  All team registrations must have a volunteer coach with a maximum of 12 players.  All volunteer coaches will be required to attend a coach’s meeting on Saturday 1/6/24 at 1 p.m., and must clear a criminal background check.  Team shirts provided to each participant!  Registration begins 9/1/23.  The early bird registration cost (listed below) will end on 11/12/23.  Registrations after that will increase by $10.  Registration deadline is 12/03/23.  Because this is a large program, online registration is required at www.desperesmo.org/404.
