Pickleball Clinics

ADULT BEGINNER PICKLEBALL INDOOR CLINICS

We invite everyone to come out and join the fastest growing sport in the country! This program will be an introductory class for beginner adult pickleball players and/or those who have been playing for a short time. These classes are perfect for those who are looking to either learn the sport from scratch, improve their skills or advance their strategic and mental part of the game. We will be offering both a Beginner 101 and an Advanced Beginner 102 class. All clinics will be taught by our team of pickleball pros. Pickleballs and paddles will be provided at all clinics if needed. Minimum 4/Maximum 15

Cost: $85/Member & Resident; $100/Non-Resident

101 Clinic

The 101 class will cover warm-up, safety, reviewing general rules for the game and choosing the right paddle and ball.  It will also cover all shot selections, proper placement (stance) on the court, how to serve and return the serve and how to score.  This clinic is perfect for those who are just starting out in the sport and want to learn the basics.

102 Clinic

The 102 class will focus on teaching shot selection, how to work your way to the net, game strategy and how to work with your partner. Full match play will take place with guided instruction from the staff. Each participant must have taken a 101 clinic or understand the rules of the game and be comfortable playing with others.

Drill and Play – 3.0

The Lodge now offers a Drill and Play Training Session. This is designed for players who have taken the Advanced Beginners (102) Clinic or is working towards an intermediate level (2.5-3.0). The one hour court training session will focus on introducing new shots, footwork, and NVZ strategies. This will include….

  • The 3rd shot drop and the 3rd shot drive to your opponents backhand
  • Hitting at your opponents feet
  • When to speed up vs stay with the dink rally at the NVZ
  • Who takes the middle and court communication
  • During your court time you will drill (practice) for 50% of the time and play instructional games 50% of the time.
  • Two Certified Pickleball Instructors will teach this 6 week session
