COVID-19 UPDATE from School of Rock™:

  • School of Rock™ and The Lodge will NOT be providing microphones as School of Rock™ is not permitting the sharing of microphones. If your child is a vocalist, please bring your own microphone.
  • School of Rock™ recommends the Shure48 or 58 microphone which can be purchased on Amazon, OR contact Molly at School of Rock (314-394-1994 and  msimms@schoolofrock.com) to order the mic value pack for $49.99 which is usually over $100!
  • If your child is attending a beginner camp and is unsure of the instrument they will play at camp, we will help them select no more than one instrument per day which will be assigned to them for the duration of the day.
We provide keyboards, drums, disposable earplugs and amps.  These instruments will be sanitized between usage.
  • We prefer/recommend you purchase high quality earplugs for Summer Camp at School of Rock.  We sell the brand Earasers for $39.99 if you need a pair.  The foam earplugs we provide free are low quality and muffle most sound, whereas high quality earplugs are safer + more comfortable, as well as only cancel out high end frequencies.
  • Staff and students will be required to wear a mask and practice social distancing.  Each day our staff will review how to effectively wear their face covering, wash hands effectively, and how to properly distance.  We have our large venue room marked with tape to demonstrate 6 ft distancing for our camp bands. Camps will be under 15 students with 3 instructors.  Please make sure you discuss with your child the importance of wearing the mask and practicing distancing.  Especially with our younger students, we know they may find it difficult to wear the mask all day.  We will be taking frequent breaks from our masks, and if needed at any time the student may ask the instructor if they can take a break together outside.  Reiteration does benefit our youngsters and helps them to know the importance of the measures we’re taking.  Please help us by having these conversations at home before camp and we will also spend a little time at the start of each day going over the rules.
