Welcome to the City of Des Peres transparency portal. Here you will find a collection of information for the public regarding city operations.

The Mayor and Board of Aldermen elected by the voters of City, set priorities for the city with the help of five (5) citizen boards/commissions which are appointed by the Mayor with consent of the Board.  The election for Municipal Officials is the first Tuesday of each April. To be listed as a candidate on the ballot, individuals must file, in person, a Certificate of Candidacy with the City Clerk of Des Peres at Des Peres City Hall, 12325 Manchester Road beginning on the third Tuesday in December at 8:00 A.M., Candidate filing is open then for the five weeks preceding that date each year.

Led by a board-appointed city administrator, the Des Peres city staff carry out the priorities set by the governing body. A summary of achievements is produced each year in the form of an Annual Report.

Every few years, the city conducts a survey of residents  in order to help inform the Mayor, Board and city staff on satisfaction levels with city services and ideas for improvement.
