Community Music School


Through this nationally-recognized, award-winning educational program, activities go a step beyond other music programs with a blend of singing, movement, story time and instrument play in weekly joyful classes. All activities promote musical skills, coordination, language development, problem solving and social interaction. A wide variety of music increases your child’s musical repertoire.  Registration cost includes tuition and all materials. Make baby’s first class musical!  Our Foundations classes offer a sensory-rich yet caring and gentle environment where infants can explore and react to new sounds, sensations and objects.  Shared activities for babies and their caregivers provide the opportunity to strengthen your connections with your child through joyful music-making experiences.  There is an optional 7-week Mini Session for $160 that includes tuition and materials for either the first 7 weeks or the last 7 weeks.  Materials are included in the cost:  Colorful board books, home CD of the songs heard in class, art banners, and baby-safe instrument.  Curriculum:  “Hickory, Dickory, Tickle, & Bounce” and “Rhythm of My Day.” Minimum 5/Maximum 12

No terrible twos here! Our Level 2 classes encourage older toddlers to initiate their own ideas and explore their creativity. Each class offers plenty of fun outlets for toddler-style energy, promoting cognitive development through singing, dancing and instrument play. Better still, you will have the opportunity to connect with other parents and caregivers who are also experiencing the joys and complexities of these busy years, while learning to use music to create and simplify routines at home. Materials included in the cost: two CDs, two literature books, a home activity book and a specially designed instrument and carry case. Curriculum: “Fiddle-Dee-Dee.”  Minimum 5/Maximum 12

Level 3 classes engage preschoolers’ natural love of music and activate their imaginations. Wide ranges of learning opportunities boost language skills, confidence, independence, social-emotional skills, and self-control. You are invited to join the fun for a portion of each class, sharing in the joy of music-making and learning how your child is developing, all while strengthening your relationship with your child. Materials included in the cost: two CDs, two books, family activity book, instrument, backpack and play set. Curriculum: “Cities! Busy Places ~ Friendly Faces.” Minimum 5/Maximum 8
