Trash and Recycling Services

Complimentary Residential Trash Collection - Basic Service

Residential trash service in Des Peres is provided by the City through a contract from Waste Connections. The cost for the trash program is approximately $245 per household, per year. The City of Des Peres is one of the few municipalities that provides this service to its residents for no charge.

Solid Waste Management - Basic Service
Basic, city paid services include once a week curbside pick-up of the following items:

• Trash
• Bulky items - residents must call Waste Connections 1 day prior for bulk pickup
• Yard waste (collected same day as trash/recycling) should be contained in Kraft paper bags or bundled.
•  Tree limbs must be less than 4’ in length & 18” diameter & bundled with twine in bundles and not exceed 50  pounds or they will NOT take.  Christmas trees are collected with yard waste, through the month of January.  Trees over 8' MUST be cut in half.
• Recycling (collected same day as your trash service)

Residents wanting additional pick-ups or rear yard service will need to set up the service with Waste Connections by calling 636.321.2100 and pay a fee for the additional service requested.
