Topping Lane Drainage
Project Summary
The 2016 budget included the design of potential drainage improvements for Topping Lane.  Kuhlmann design Group (KdG) was hired to survey the street and provide design options.  Knowing that some residents may prefer to keep the roadway as it is, without curbs, while others may prefer full-blown curbs and storm-sewers, we have prepared three different scopes: small, medium, and large.  This document illustrates those three scopes.

I public meeting for the residents of Topping Lane has been scheduled for 5:30 on Wednesday, July 13th, in the Council Chamber, at City Hall.  All residents of Topping Lane are invited to look at the drawings and discuss their desires for the neighborhood.  Letters were mailed 6/20. After discussions, the Director of Public Works will recommend a project for the Board of Aldermen to budget for in 2017.

Project Update
We had a great turnout at the 7/13 meeting (22 residents), despite the storm and associated traffic congestion.  The general consensus I perceived was that everyone prefers a consistent approach, installing rolled curbs throughout, while minimizing the storm sewer work.

Based upon that meeting, I've created an Option 4 for review. Please submit comments to me at by August 15th.  At that point, I'll need to finalize the concept, and develop a project budget to submit for the City's budgeting process.
